I'm Amedea. Nice to meet you!

First of all, this is a safe space. A space for being different, weird, living, colourful, your true wild self. At least that's what I would like it to be and how I, as a writer, I would like to show up. I might fail, but that's ok. Nobody's perfect. And I am not Nobody.

I am a Woman. Full bodied, full hearted, full spirited Woman. There's a lot of me. There's so much of me, that it's spilling over and I want to share. This place is where I share my experience, learnings, curiosities. I'm a researcher and collector at heart. An observer and a teacher. Connector of dots and people. A mother to a 7 year-old boy. A holder of circles. I contain multitudes.

Words matter. How we talk about stuff matters. There's a word I despise - selfless. Can we just take a moment and look at the structure? Self - less. Less of self. It's supposed to be a good thing. Be less of self, so you can be more of...a mother. A worker. A wife. Be selfless, so you can serve others more. Don't be (too) much, be less. Because if you are full of yourself, you will see all the structures which are trying to keep you small, and they won't be able to contain you any more.

This space helps me be full of myself. It lets me explore roads already travelled and paths that lie ahead. Oh, girl, what a journey has it been. Come along for the ride. 😎
